Creative Archive is a website aimed at the creative community around the world. This service allows users to create their own profile page and showcase their work. The main categories are Art & Design, Music & Film, Creative Writing, Photography and also Fashion & Accessories. There is also an other ‘Miscellaneous’ section if users feel their work does not fit into any of the available categories. Basically Creative Archive offers the chance for artists to showcase their illustrations for example while musicians can display their songwriting skills and find singers to sing their original material. Individual musicians, for instance drummers can show their talents and get in contact with local bands who could likewise use the site to find a drummer in the right area with the right abilities. Showing off these creative abilities will take many forms. Artists can display their illustrations/paintings/drawings etc by photographing their work and displaying the photographs on their profile page. Likewise with fashion designers and photographers, they can upload their work to the archive using the same method. Musicians however can showcase themselves differently. Songwriters looking to get their original material used by singers/bands etc can upload their songs in mp3/WAV form to the site. Singers looking to find a band or meet with a songwriter with the view to producing original material for them to sing, can upload either an audio (WAV/mp3) of themselves singing a cover song or alternatively upload a video. For instance a singer uploads a video of themselves to www.youtube.com and then transfers the embedded code onto their profile page on Creative Archive, thus displaying the video of themselves on their page when users browse it. This method works in a similar manner for guitarists/songwriters/pianists or any musician. Film makers can also display their work using such a method. Creative writers such as authors, poets, lyricists etc will be able to upload their short stories, poems, scripts etc in text format.
