Explore work by young architects from the annual Architectural Review Awards. Now in its tenth year, it is the leading awards programme for architects and designers under 45, regularly attracting over 500 entries from around the world.
An immense diversity of projects covering buildings, interiors, product design, engineering structures, urbanism and landscape, provides a fascinating snapshot of architecture’s emerging generation.
A selection of the winning and commended architects will be speaking at the RIBA as part of the Emerging Architecture 2009| Talks Series.

Private View Friday 13th February 2009. 6pm-9pm.
Eleanor Glover, Janet Haigh and Dail Behennah show some recent work all based on the theme of the Heart. These three artists have great craft skills and work in all sorts of materials. They create beautifully crafted and intelligently conceived pieces which will delight the hardest of hearts!

The monthly Fenton House Exhibition consists of 30 prints from individual members of The Society. The Exhibition is displayed in the Reception area of The Society’s Headquarters in Bath, UK.

Event Details
The ceilidh club @ The Lot is a regular ceilidh event happening every Tuesday night at The Lot, Grassmarket. Events are through the whole of 2009. Tickets are £6 on the door and doors open at 8pm. Call the Lot on 0131 225 9922 to reserve your tickets.
The ceilidh club @ The South Hall is Edinburgh’s biggest regular ceilidh happening one Friday a month at the South Hall, Pollock Halls with rock ceilidh band Teannaich. Tickets are available online at www.edinburghceilidhs.com or from tickets Scotland on Rose Street. Doors open at 7:30pm.
All the ceilidhs are open to everyone experienced ceilidh goer or complete beginner with a caller to teach the dances though out the night.
