Creative Archive has been set up creative individuals and businesses in mind, as a space for you to create a profile, upload graphics, music or written content to an online portfolio, as well as add YouTube links to your videos and animations. The site can also be used as a tool to find other creative people in your area, promote your website and services, or simply keep in touch with us to find out about the latest news and events from the local creative community.
The idea for a space to hold creative work and find local talent initially came about as a result of a meeting between a small group of Scottish based songwriters. They felt they were very limited in how they could promote the songs they had written to a wider audience, and also wanted to find artists to sing their material.
Having an online songwriters archive was the first step, but after much deliberation it made sense to offer this service to a variety of people in the creative world. Other artists such as local photographers, fashion designers, painters and authors felt that one place where they could display their work and get in contact with like-minded people would be of great use to them. The website that is now Creative Archive was born out of these ideas and discussions.
The site has six different genres which all aspects the creative world fall into. These are Art & Design, Fashion & Accessories, Photography, Creative Writing, Music & Film, and Other, a miscellaneous section for anything you feel isn’t covered by the others, for example if you want to upload original recipes to the website or something similar. If you feel we could cover more sections within the Archive please get in touch. We’d be delighted to hear from you.
Anyone is welcome to join us and promote their own personal creative archive. If you have any feedback regarding the new site we’d be delighted to hear from you. Creative Archive belongs to you and we’re continually updating the website in line with your needs.

Ansel Adams is among the few photographers in all the history of photography whose name and work enjoys world-wide recognition. His stunning landscapes and intimate still lifes of nature continue to enthrall viewers. Many come to know his work through widely-published books, postcards, posters, and calendars. Relatively few have actually seen his lushly-printed images in the original. To do so is to see the genius in both his craft of printing and his artful composition. Adams is the master. This exhibition honors the man and celebrates that genius.
‘Celebration of Genius’ is an exhibition featuring 150 photographs by Ansel Adams selected from the George Eastman House International Museum of Photography and Film in New York, the world’s pre-eminent museum of photography.
This will be the first exhibition of Ansel Adams original photographs to been seen in Scotland, and the largest ever in the UK.

Now well established and in its fifth year, the Creative Writing Summer Program, has proved as popular as the successful Scottish Studies Summer Program, which is now in its ninth year, and incorporates many of its features.
A series of master classes and workshops with leading Scottish writers allow students to develop skills of authoring, oral presentation, editing and analysis.
